I'm an engineering leader with over a decade of experience building teams and the systems they run on. I started as a backend engineer, moved into leadership, and have spent the years since somewhere between writing code and running teams, which at least means I can read both the codebase and the org chart.

I've worked at TextNow, Shopify, and theScore. Right now I'm Senior Director of Engineering at TextNow, where I spend most of my time on the people side: growing technical leaders, building team culture, and making sure the hard cross-functional stuff actually gets done.

I care a lot about building environments where engineers do their best work. Less process for process's sake, more ownership, craft, and getting things right. AI has become a core part of how I work. Not as a novelty, but as a real part of how I think, write, and get things done.

Outside of Work

Outside of work, I'm usually outdoors with my wife, hiking, finding excuses to be somewhere with trees and no cell service, and camping when life allows. At home, we're outnumbered by our daughter and two cats, which keeps things interesting.
